The Story Behind the Science
From 2006-2008, I worked with Iowa State University on a National Science Foundation Grant. I was responsible for researching and writing a number of introductory lessons on the history of science. Our intention was to provide understandable and relevant materials for undergraduate students that explained how scientific truth came to be established. Scientific inspiration comes from numerous resources, and truth can be interpreted in a number of different ways. Through these essays, which are currently used in university classrooms, our group hoped to encourage students to view science as more than just numbers and data.
